With acupuncture for perimenopause and menopause, you can ease the symptoms and reclaim this significant time of life.

The transition of menopause is such an important time.  Indeed, in ancient Chinese philosophy - the basis of acupuncture for menopause - it is seen as a profound time when the energy that was needed in the uterus moves to the heart, giving a deeper wisdom, or a “second spring”.  It is seen as the time of life where women are wiser, more aware and more confident, and able to pass this wisdom to the younger generations.  A time where they can be inspired by new passions, heed their own needs and also give back to their community.

Wow, sounds great doesn’t it?  But what if your (peri)menopause bears no resemblance to that?

What if the reality is exhaustion, brain fog, hot flushes and night sweats, aches and pains, insomnia, overwhelm, anxiety, vulnerability or rage - or all of them at the same time, and more?

What if your own needs are still lost in the demands of kids, parents, career, partner and you don’t feel like there’s enough to go round?

And though hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is available more readily now, what if you can’t take it, or just don’t want to?

You’re not alone. And I can help.

“I had a course of 6 treatments with Sally, as I had been feeling “out of balance” and lacking energy, and was delighted with the results. Her approach is calm and reassuring. She evaluates you very thoroughly and focuses on the most important issues for treatment. Acupuncture is amazing!”

"Over the course of treatment my symptoms of insomnia, debilitating hot flushes, and joint pain were completely resolved. Sally is easy to build a rapport with; approachable, easy to talk and trust. I had been advised not to take HRT and acupuncture was a big part of building my wellbeing tool kit, in fact it was a game changer."

"I came to Sally looking for some relief from menopausal symptoms, including insomnia, low mood, poor focus and low energy.  These symptoms had worsened following treatment for breast cancer and the death of my father.  I can't tell you how much Sally's acupuncture (including diet and lifestyle tips) has helped me.

After two sessions, my sleep and energy levels improved and after a course of five I had a much greater sense of well-being.  Sally's calm, caring and skilful approach (not to mention her peaceful garden cabin) has really made the world of difference to me.  I would wholeheartedly recommend her services."

Why me?

I know this transition well and the benefits of acupuncture for perimenopause and menopause delivers - as both a practitioner and a patient.  And I’m loving my Second Spring and I want to help others to do the same.  And though I appreciate HRT is a valid choice for some, it may not be open to you because of health conditions or risk profile, or you may prefer acupuncture as an effective, harmonious treatment for this natural change.

My extensive work and training in gynaecology and fertility along with Traditional Chinese Medicine means I’m skilled in helping women navigate this transition, overcoming menopause symptoms and seizing the opportunities this time can provide.

Places are limited!

I limit the number of people I work with at any one time to ensure I deliver the level of service and support I pride myself on, and my clients get the results they desire. I often have a waiting list so please bear that in mind.

Our work together

Our work together will be a committed partnership and to at least 3 months of acupuncture treatment.  This is an important foundation to the changes happening we need.  If you wish, we'll then continue our work together as needed, with a frequency of treatment based on your progress.

I recommend that my clients take Chinese herbs to further enhance the acupuncture treatments.  Chinese herbal medicine can supercharge the impact of each treatment and help your system find its equilibrium in between our sessions together.

And of course, working with me means I'll be there for you - as your support, your guide, and your confidante.  My garden clinic is a wonderful sanctuary where you can let go of the worries of the world, relax and recharge.  My focus and care is 100% on you, just you.  I also offer unlimited support between sessions and even out of hours, if there's something on your mind that you want to share.
